Dragonfly - Pseudagrion
Hello Fascinating Insect Lover..
Today I am sharing a species of needle dragonfly, its name is Pseudagrion, a genus of damselfly in the Coenagrionidae family.
Pseudagrion is the largest genus of damselfly in the family Coenagrionidae, with over 140 species. Its range includes most of Africa, much of Asia, and Australia. Africa holds most of the diversity with almost 100 species. It has occupied most of the freshwater habitats in its range, and dominates damselfly communities in habitats as different as desert pools, equatorial rainforests and montane streams.
We can easily mark this dragonfly, because it is smaller than other dragonflies. Its small size is a challenge in itself when photographing it. It takes more caution and concentration, we have to really hold our breath in order to aim it perfectly. And below I have uploaded the photo, maybe a little less perfect because I use a smartphone device to take the photo.
