Fascinating Rainbow Shield Bug

It is called rainbow shield bugs (Calidea dregii), a common bug that lives around us. Rainbow shield bug belongs to order Hemiptera, is a species of true bugs in the family shield-backed bugs. If we look closely, this bug has combination colors similar to the rainbow with a particularly striking body-covering making it one of the most beautiful insects. While the underside of the bug is red, the brilliant blue-green back shimmers in the sunlight. I often found this colorful bug perching on the wild grass, sometimes spending its lazy time on the leaf which allowed me to freely take some shots while they were calm.
