@ecency has kept me distracted when I needed it the nost as today I had an hemorrhoidectomy, at times I suffer from anxiety, so it helps to keep your mind busy with something else.

I have tried to correct the situation for quiet sometime using unguents, pills and more, unfortunately nothing worked. It got to stage 3 and have to be surgically removed. After waking up I felt no pain just discomfort, have been on liquids all day abd haven't been told when I'll be able to consume solid food again.

So far I feel no pain

Still got another procedure coming as I have to have a cataract removed from my left eye, I just hope it will be as well a painless and quick as this.

Other than that it is all good. I always count and focus on my blessings, it helps me stay mentally sane.

Something you should know about me?

I love beach hats a lot. As an ambivert and lover of nature, I crave going to the beach and last year was the first time in a long while. I was invited to an African festival of games and I purchased one of these hats. I felt comfy wearing them because they shaded me from the sun and the aesthetic is something I admire. So, I would always accept this as a gift because it means a lot to me.

Something I worked on?

Here. I was bored and lonely this fine morning and I decided to try something new. Sketching came to mind and I said yes. I was making rounds with my pencil until I drew this. I was amazed and since then, I've not been able to limit myself to anything. I believe that I can achieve anything I want, provided that I keep my head up to never stop trying. I hope this meets someone that thinks less of himself. I hope you like my entry too. I would like to invite my fellow redfish @mahnoor1 to take part in this simple contest. Please join.

Hi @melbourneswest. I hope I'm not late. I upvoted this post hoping to return and write something about myself but got busy with work.

So, I'm a bit of a sweet tooth but not always. I bake too. A family friend brought some bananas to the house over the weekend.

I stuffed myself with some while I helped my aunt bake banana cakes. What a way to spend the weekend. I had to drag myself out of bed this morning to prepare for work.

I took one of the cakes to the office. Just had my break now and feasting on the cake. Yum! Scrolling through my phone I came upon your notification and quickly took a snapshot of the cake before I gulp it up! 😄

Hope I’m not too late - there is so much that I want to say and share, but last night when I read this post I was inspired just to tell you what I did for Super Bowl Sunday.

For Super Bowl Sunday I drove over to my moms house with a mission, the mission was to ask her how she felt in the late 80’s/early 90’s and what her reaction was to the advent of the World Wide Web.. the point was to gauge her anticipation/excitement at the time.
Well... it being some 30 years later her memory of her reaction was not what I was anticipating of like waiting for Christmas morning and opening that new piece of tech wrapped so nicely under the tree.
She just said she couldn’t remember.

So the next part of the mission was to tell her about web3.0, blockchain, and hive. I explained to her using the best of my abilities to explain these complex systems.

Long story short, as conversations about the news of the day (politics, religion, technology) tend to do, we went down many different rabbit holes
We talked for a good 4 hours and coulda made a great podcast.. only being interrupted intermittently by her new poodle who’s a ball of energy.

Those are some of the most enjoyable and productive conversations, where I try to explain/express highly complex topics with her, see what her concerns and opinions are, and help mold them into less of the radical right wing trump loving conservative, that she can tend to devolve into.

I love her so much, and I hope she can live to see the better future that I intend to bring about for the benefit of future generations, like my sisters daughter,her grandchild, and my niece.

I want to do as much work as possible,
Of making the path towards liberty, and decentralized government,

as smooth as possible, and that her learning curve can be as short as possible.

Hi @melbournewest, a big thanks for this opportunity and for the mention.
The picture below was taken last year during my Industrial Training Defense, the guy beside me is @bruno-kema.. and he was my defense partner. The day was hectic, running around to get our reports in order, and making sure all details were accurate.
The day was fun, though a bit stressful, but we enjoyed it as we met different students from different departments running their defense as well. we shared ideas on the best way to do the defense.
The defense was smooth and surprisingly fast. All our efforts paid off, and we came out successful.
This taught me that the value of team-work can never be underestimated or over emphasized. Since then i've been taken active part in works that require team efforts and it has been helpful to my career and personal development.
