#HiveComic Contest #17 π΅ Get Jiro! (by Anthony Bourdain) π 1,000 FOODIE
This week's #hivecomic is in honor of Anthony Bourdain, our #1 Foodie, and his comic "Get Jiro," 1,000 FOODIE in prizes.
I couldn't believe Anthony Bourdain was actually responsible for this comic, although not the artist, it's clear it was his idea, as the language is very much in his style of humor.
"Who get's beheaded for asking for asking for a California Roll at a proper sushi establishment?" Some American bros in Anthony Bourdain's "Get Jiro!," of course.
I found Get Jiro! on zipcomic.com. The site is very easy to use and has old and new comics free to download.

How do you even make comics like these?! This is so cool! Nice tag use as well! This is a cool contest.
Hi. Just save the blank comic from above and use a photo editing program to add your own words. Sometimes I copy the image into Canva and add the text.
You can't change the speech bubbles, only add your words. Not too many because the bubbles are small.
Can't wait to see your entry.

I use GIMP freeware to create the thumbnails, delete the text and create the blank for each week's contest. This week's #hivecomic is possibly my favorite of all time.
Thanks for the kind words, I've been doing this for a long time, but it has never really picked up major steam yet. Slowly it's starting to catch on though.

And congrats to @brittandjosie for your 2nd place win. We placed the Comic Contest in the Terminal Discord. I guess we now have to light a fire under the members and show them how easy and fun it is to complete the comic in their own words with something different.
I'll get started on this week's comic. I love my HGTV Cooking Show, so I'll have fun with this one.
