It is amazing to witness novice pourers become artisans and watch their growth through the months and years as they discover their voice in pouring silver.
Novice silver pourers put molten silver into molds with a "come-what-may" or "however-this-one-turns-out" approach to pouring silver bars.
Then there are artists who, with skill and creativeness, determine the character of the silver bar through the lines they create on the surface of the bar as the molten silver cools.

I think that beauty in these types of bars is in the beholder. And for sure, we are first to support our fellow stackers who have gone to the dark side of pouring... and that is why we end up with "P"s and first pours.

A lot of stackers appreciate hand-poured silver and will pay the premiums on them. And I know that these oftentimes become part of a stacker's permanent stack primarily for the uniqueness and artistry of the bar, or that it was poured by a person known to them, or maybe because one may never be able to recoup the premiums paid for them.
