The SteemDAO/SPS sounds a lot like Dash DAO and other Dash DAO inspired decentralized funding and what I've seen from Dash helps me see the full value of such a system even if it is at the cost of a reduction of the rewards allocated for content creation. I think the DAO will bring a lot more value than it cost.

EIP on the other hand is a mess that is not going to help content creators much. I wouldn't mind the convergent linear rewards curve but we already have #PALnet and #spt and similar projects and SMTs could create their own non-linear (or even linear) reward distribution. I also doubt the effects of the downvote pool being a significant net positive. But what I'm truly against is the 50/50 split between authors and curators which make no sense.
