In September @fotostef challenged me to take a new pictures and post it. I enjoyed the challenge of going out and taking new pictures and will join him in posting a #happynewmonth at the beginning of each month.

Little baby okra, Sara's garden, October 1, 2019

As winter approaches many parts of the world, Arizona has cooled down enough to plant my fall garden. It is just starting to sprout. This is the first time I have plant okra. This is such a fun stage...watching all the little plants come up.

Happy New Month

Happy new month Sara!
I love sprouts, they incarnate the power of life itself!
It is interesting that you plant okras in the winter though. In Greece it is a summer crop. Last week I harvested the last ones and now I have left a few to seed.

Thanks Stefanos. I saw the okra seeds and just had to give them a go. I am sure they will be better in the spring garden. We'll see. Do you have any good recopies with the okra?

Yes, some experiment doen't hurt :)
Actually this summer was the first time that I planted some okras and one thing that I've been told is that when you harvest an okra you should also cut the leaf that is next to it. I found that a good advice!
