Street Art #280 Baron's High School, Montreal
Since I photographed StreetArt in my neighborhood, I learn every day about its history, architecture... Cool way to revisit your city, especially with this lockdown.
Today direction to the Baron Byng High School where three of its walls were painted with cool murals by different artists. This post will be mainly about the parking lot and its wall...
At the entry of the parking, a mashup done by (top to bottom and left to right) Waxhead for the cats, Cryote for the heads of blue and pink dog, Gets (?) for the green lettering, Meor for the purple city and Peru143 for the yellow lettering and on the bottom Mole Patrol for the weird caracter and Pound Puppy for the dog in the right.
WHERE
Baron Byng High School, 4251 Rue Saint-Urbain, Canada.
Position on Google Maps
The Baron Byng High School was built in 1921 and was named in honour of a British soldier, Julian Hedworth George Byng, 1st Viscount of Vimy, who later became the Governor General of Canada. The school closed in 1980 and today it's the home of Sun Youth (or Jeunesse au Soleil in French), a social association serving the needs of the surrounding community.

Really cool murals, full of funny characters! So cool! 😎
Great place to see cool murals and to eat after it. There are a lot of good restaurants in this area.
Street arts are fascinating, I always love to explore different murals, street art because every street art leaves a story for us. Every art concept is mysterious and those artists are really talented. Your street art collection is really cool, love them. Thanks for sharing this with us.
You're welcome... StreetArt is always interesting, first thing I check when I visit a new city. But now with Covid, it's great way to rediscover our city. In Montreal, so many neighborhoods with cool stuff to discover, many posts to come 😀
Love this one, nice big mural.
Always cool when different artists works on the same mural...
Of course
Looking at the buildings, the splash of colour did'em well! 😎
Wow! this is cool! You are right. Walking around our own neighborhood is a great way to learn about the history and the architecture, sometimes meeting people who can tell even more...
With the lockdown, we.ll have to learn to visit our city or our country while waiting for the borders to open. Fortunately Canada is a huge country ...
Yeah, you are so right. We get to know our own countries. There is so much to learn, I can see that now :) You are living in such a huge country, that it might take you some years to get around...
