Four months ago... I told Blizzard to take their "apology" and shove it.

It's been nearly four months since Blizzard decided to ban the player Blitzchung from competitive play, took back his thousands of dollars in prize money that he'd earned, and decided to fire the two casters that were apparently involved. That was four months ago though. A lot has changed since then. Blitzchung ended up getting his earned prize money after all, the casters were allowed to have their jobs back, and Blitzchung's suspension was reduced to six months... meaning that in only a couple months... he might come back to the competitive circuit if he so chooses to do so.

I don't like getting into politics... I never have. I've always tried to be avoid drama at any costs. I was just looking back on my Reddit history from that time and I was more pissed off than I remember being. I remember dusting almost my entire collection. I never deleted my account like many people did. In fact, I still have like 16,000 dust in my collection if I ever decide to go back... and probably a few packs that Blizzard had given players since. As far as I know, I still have a lot of friends that play the game. I'm sure a few left, but I'm still sure some are around. I haven't talked to them in ages it feels like though.

When I told Blizzard to take their apology and shove it... that was really just the tip of the iceberg. I was really telling them to take their game and shove it. There was a lot about Hearthstone that I didn't like. One being that I always felt like it was pay to win. The other being that you only received one fourth of a card's value when you dusted it. I could understand it not being a one to one ratio, but even getting half of it's value would have been very fair.

I've been thinking a lot about Hearthstone lately as it seems to keep popping up in my Reddit feed. It seems like a lot has changed these past several months. It seems like they've released a new expansion which is apparently way better than their last few mediocre expansions that I'd played. It seems like there's some new crazy broken decks. Apparently, every class seems to have a broken deck, but if every deck is broken... I guess that makes the game fair...right?

I've been thinking a lot lately on if I would play Hearthstone again and the answer is...

Yeah... maybe.

I'm not one to ever get upset and when I do, I don't tend to stay upset for very long. A lot has changed for Hearthstone and some things haven't. One thing that I'm glad about is that from what I've heard, both new and old players are enjoying Hearthstone's new expansion and new game mode and for that... I'm honestly really happy. Video games are meant to be fun and I'm glad that both old and new players alike are enjoying a game that I used to have a blast with. I haven't felt like playing really any card games lately. I tend to hop on and play Gods Unchained about once a week, but honestly I'm not loving it... because I suck lol. It's not very fun to lose a lot lmao.

I think I'd feel better about the whole Blizzard situation if Blitzchung decided to come back in two months when he's allowed back. I mean... if he's not mad anymore then how can I be... you know?

It probably won't be anytime soon, certainly not this week... but I may just download and try Hearthstone again... just maybe.
