War: Thought of a crewman/Guerra: Pensamiento de un tripulante

The accelerated breathing hit my chest as hard as the tide against the ship, I contemplated for a moment a world without sound, in slow motion I saw how people ran from one side to another, the emergency lights activated, the men with injuries beyond physical, and for a moment I felt insignificant.
I placed my cap on the table and opened my shirt collar, taking a deep breath, I repeated a mantra in my head with my eyes closed, there was nothing to do anymore, the ship was sinking, no one would come for them, they would only become a memory of his relatives, and, perhaps, just perhaps, of his nation. "

"La respiración acelerada golpeaba tan fuerte mi pecho como la marea contra el barco, contemplaba por un momento un mundo sin sonido, en cámara lenta veía como las personas corrían de un lado a otro, las luces de emergencia activadas, los hombres con heridas más allá de las físicas, y por un momento me sentí insignificante.
Coloqué mi gorra sobre la mesa y me abrí el cuello de la camisa, respirando profundo repetí un mantra en mi cabeza con los ojos cerrados, ya no había nada que hacer, el buque se estaba hundiendo, nadie vendría por ellos, solo se convertirían en un recuerdo de sus familiares, y, tal vez, solo tal vez, de su nación."

I made this little drawing for my boyfriend who likes this theme very much although I don't feel much affinity with it and even less do this type of elements (I had never made a ship or an airplane), however, it is a subject that makes me sad and I imagined myself as a crew member of one of those huge ships, lost and without hope of a long life with his family.

Hice este pequeño dibujo para mi novio que le gusta mucho ésta temática aunque yo no sienta mucha afinidad con ello y menos hacer este tipo de elementos (jamás había hecho un buque ni un avión), sin embargo, es un tema que me da tristeza y me imaginé como un tripulante de una de esas enormes naves, perdido y sin esperanza de una larga vida junto a su familia.
