But in my post, I will not post photos of my models, I will only post some of my daily photos, I like to be a person who lives a normal life and looks like usual outside of my profession

As a person who often follows fashion photos, lately, I have seen the development of the world of modeling in the younger generation, especially ono niha, is increasingly in demand and I am quite impressed by this. This means that the younger generation of Nias is increasingly open to self-development. They are able to hone their talents as a model who is photographed by an expert in the field of photography with various agreed concepts.

This is of course in line with the booming hobby of photography among Nias youth. The currently developing photography trend in Nias is targeting Nias women as models for photographic works. Because using a female model is certainly much more interesting to be used as a model in a photo concept for the photographer himself.

1. What is a model?

Here, I will describe a little about the model in photography that, among the many genres of photography that exist, the model is one that gets the most intense attention, both positive and minor (not to mention negative). Including the model as a photography genre is still a debate among photography activists, indeed when we search on Wikipedia, we will not find the definition of model photography. So what is a model? Some of the definitions we find on various search sites for this word model, especially those relating to people, among others, a model is a person who poses for a photographer or painter or sculptor, or someone who wears clothes to display fashion clothes and many other related definitions of model with material. From this definition, the definition of a model (a person who poses for a photographer or painter or sculptor) as stated in the official definition of a model is photographs that display a photo model, without emphasizing the element of fashion (fashion).

2. Just a hobby or a profession?

Being a model should be used as a foundation to provide a steady income if done professionally, not just developing talent into a hobby, but also becoming a professional in his field. A professional photo model can earn tens to hundreds of millions for a shooting contract. Meanwhile, for beginner or amateur models, they can still earn money, but the amount is not much. It is not wrong if what starts from a hobby can be used as a job field. Being a photo model is not like being a fashion / catwalk model that requires a beautiful face or is required to have a proportional weight and height, a photo model has enough to have a genic face in front of the camera and be able to realize the concepts in photos through flexibility in posing .

Maximizing your potential by taking part in hunting here and there is good, apart from being able to hone your skills in posing in front of the camera, good relations with fellow photographers will also be more wide open.
However, thinking about becoming a professional is also important, because from that a Nias woman who is active in this field also has limitations in accepting every concept offered. Not only for himself, but for his family, environment, or Nias culture.

3. Self-actualization

Becoming a photo model is one way of self-actualization that Nias women who have an interest in this field can choose. However, actualizing oneself in this field should be carefully considered by those who are ready to plunge into photo models.
Photo models not only focus on the resulting photo, but also have a price to pay for those who want to focus on this world. A model must really understand the direction of the interests of the resulting photo. They need to be more active in finding out what market segment the client wants the photo to use. Don't be surprised if a photo that turns out to be thought only as a medium to add to a photographer's portfolio is misused for personal gain which could harm the model personally.

Another thing that a person should consider when choosing to become a model is that he must understand what he will face and undergo when working as a model, because sometimes working as a model forces us to sacrifice the values ​​that we have so far held.

A person who wants to seriously embrace the world of modeling should not be easily fooled by people who call themselves photographers who only have DSLR cameras and then offer photo services with unclear concepts, then ask to pose sexy with clothes that are quite open in the room (indoor). ) with the hope of getting the opportunity to photograph the beauty of a woman's body.
