That Other Sunset ...

Hi All! This was the second sunset in a week that I got to see from my back yard at the end of July. I posted the first one about a month ago. The only edits that I've done on these was some possible cropping and putting some in collages.

The sunset started out with some mild pretty coloring before intensifying.

I thought the sunset that I witnessed a few days before this one was quite nice but I think this one was even nicer to have been able to see. I'm still amazed at how quickly the colors can change, intensify and fade. All offering spectacular views! I did actually go back inside my house thinking it was over before my husband pointed out from our living room that it had only just begun to "show off"!

The stripey bands within the sunset were both striking and interesting to see (for me anyway).

Before long though the sunset did completely fade. I haven't seen one as colorful as this one since then but possibly it has been there and I just missed seeing it. 💖

We have been getting some beautiful sunsets, too, but I can't see much through the trees. The smoke in the upper atmosphere is creating some incredible skies. Your photos are gorgeous!

Thank you very much Melinda!! It is amazing how smoke travels. Reminds of stories that I've read on the dust bowl times and how far the dust would travel with the wind. All those fires are just crazy and I hope the people in the states affected see some relief soon. 💕

Finally we got all of that smoke pushed out and we can finally see blue sky and have sunsets again.

However I'm feeling that with all the smoke it is going to be really rough on the winter weather.

I've been forecasting a really bad winter for a while and I think this year it's going to hit hard.

That is great news @ganjafarmer! Hopefully, it is a very long break from the smoke. I feel the same about our upcoming Winter here as well. The past two seasons we got barely any snow so I think we might be due. 🤔 ❄️
