Hello Everyone 💕 💞,

In my today's gardening review it's on Vegetable which I called African Spinach. It is a very common type of Vegetable here in Nigeria and it is Consumed Nationwide and it can be use as soup or sometimes mix as stew depending on individual choices. I am going to give us a Practical way of getting to know more about how to plant a seed ( Vegetable seeds of different varieties) I chose African Spinach because it is available here with me and I will like to show you how I did mine, knowledge is never a waste. I followed some procedures which I will share below.

Step 1.

In anything you do as a farmer or as an individual who is really ready to learn from others or emulate good things around him or her, you need to keep records of everything you do for reference purposes. So I do mine and it's working for me. Sometimes I might have even forgotten about what I planted , the maturity date and co or be it rabbit mating date, you may be on a long trip but when you write down your records you can possibly ask someone or your wife to be very observant and constantly check the animals for you. Farm record very necessary.

Step 2.

I needed to use a hand trowel to mix up the soil very well to as to allow more of air penetration into the soil ecosystem for proper photosynthesis and good growth.

Step 3.

In my own case I used fresh Poultry droppings to fertilize the mobile seed bed before I apply the improved African Spinach seeds.

Step 4.

I had to use the hand trowel to mix the Poultry droppings with the soil to make it done.

Step 5.

IMG_20200128_155529_7.jpg

I had to sprinkle the improved African Spinach variety faintly on the soil to reduce excessive germination of the seed in few days time.

Step 6.

Thorough mixing of the seed with the soil with my hands.

Step 7.

Watering of the mobile seed bed followed immediately. This method is very good to practice, it doesn't need to be a very huge hectares of land before you can eat Vegetables with your family and friends. It may be in your frontyard or backyard. You are good to go.
