The peachy beauty - Mediolobivia mudanensis
(Edited)
Last year it even bloomed for me with two, adorable flowers :)
Mediolobivia pygmaea mudanensis
But with that tap root you gotta be careful not to overwater it. Since they store a lot of water, they do not need to much and it actually may kill it.
Besides that it is cold hardy too, even to -10 degrees if kept completely dry in winter. That's why I do not water it for about 3 winter months at all.
But look how pretty the petals are. Very delicate peachy colour full of sparkles.

First time I saw a cactus with flower. They're awesome. My wife has cacti around her garden too but they do not flower. Maybe this can be her next project :)
All cactus flower, but the need to get the right conditions. Where they grow, they usually get cold and very dry winters. If you have them in the garden and your weather all year round is warm, they will most likely not bloom.
I would love to see what she has :)
Thanks for the tip. We might have to place her cacti inside our bedroom. We turn on the aircondition every night so maybe the cool atmosphere might induce them to flower. Worth a try.
I intend to do a post about her cacti. Will tag you so you'll know when it is out. I just did one on her Sansevieria's. You might want to look at it too. Click here for the link.
Thanks for sharing time and knowledge with me @ewkaw. Always a pleasure.
Depending on the cactus, but most will need about 12 degrees C or lower (I keep mine on a balcony all winter where the temperature at night can drop to 4 degrees. They love it :) )for about 1-3 months to flower. Also if it is that cold it needs to be completely dry and not watered, or it will rot.
In low temperatures they go dormant and do not grow or drink. Then when it starts to be warm again they wake up and usually grow some flower buds.
What a beauty!!!
