For years Chivarly: Medieval Warfare has been dominating the medieval game market due to being the only good team game, it was definitely very good and it is the first game I bought on Steam but it did not grow very well and became old and you will not enjoy it at the present time. On April 29th, 2019 Mordhau released the game which, as I expected, overwhelmed this type of game and became the number one to skip the legendary game of Shivarley.

The Mordhau game amazingly combined the Battlefield game fighting system with deep gameplay and deep mechanisms as well as realistic and very beautiful graphics and a distinctive sound system, it may not be a great AAA game except that it provided what every lover wishes for a time of sword and gear. Simply put, it is a team game that relies on close combat and contains a wide range of different weapons that you can choose from from long swords to daggers and hammers, and each weapon differs in its game style on the other so it is important to know the speed, extent and strength of each weapon you play with.

The type of weapon you use is only half the equation, because how you use it is also important. All weapons can be used to repel strikes or avoid, and you can also drag the mouse to or away from your enemies in order to speed up or delay your attack speed. In addition, some weapons can be used in various ways. For example, you can use the longsword in a reverse manner, that is, upside down on a head in order to achieve greater damage while hitting helmets. All of these mechanisms combine an incredibly rich, fun and deeply entrenched basic combat system.

Mordhau also includes your own play style creation system that allows you to create your own character and choose what you want like heavy armor, one sword or a light armor soldier and light weapons in order to get a fast character. If you want to have fun you can create a soldier with medium armor and one or two spears to throw at enemies, this is what I recently did with my friend - simply the game gives you enough freedom to play the way you want. There are also a lot of items that you can buy to customize your character in the game store using the currency you earn while playing or when your level rises.

There are three different phases in the game and they are Frontline, Horde and Battle Royal, the first stage is similar to Battlefield and is usually every thirty-two teams, i.e. 64 players compete with its large map that contains missions similar to Battlefield. You will also see knights, archers, and engineers to build defenses, for example, in addition to knights on horses and mangoes that resemble vehicles and aircraft in modern war titles.

The second stage (Horde) is of the type PvE, that is, a phase in which six players cooperate against waves of enemies controlled by good artificial intelligence, which has also evolved from the launch of the game to date. I spent a lot of hours inside it fun and it becomes increasingly difficult to become impossible, especially if you are playing alone, but do not worry, you will always have different players with you, I advise you to try it with your friends like the rest of the game because it is funny and satisfying at the same time. The last stage, the well-known Battle Royale is the weakest phase in Mordhau and I think it was added because of its popularity but I think it is weak despite being distinguished from other games. The map here is small and contains only thirty players. I am not a fan of this phase but some people like it.

Above, you can watch the teaser game show, which is a gameplay show, because almost all the footage in it has been lived in the game. Although its graphics are not great, they are excellent and suitable for the world and type of game and each shield and each character contains a lot of details and the same applies to the various maps.

In the end, I can say with confidence that this game has presented us with a surprisingly satisfying combat system, from movement to animation, which gives a very satisfying sense every time you cut off your enemies and see blood flowing from the top of your sword. Mordhau contains a lot of violence, blood, and screaming too, and every time Sevan collides you will hear this voice or when you come crashing down on your armored enemies you will hear the sound of the collision that will tell you that you did harm without jerking out the written text.

The medieval game may not be one of the most popular team games, it is only available on the personal computer and does not have a large player base such as Apex Legends and Fortnite but it is distinctive and I advise everyone who loves this type of games to try it because it will get a unique experience.
