Marbles On Stream

Marbles on Stream

I've got a friend who introduced me to this new thing they are doing on Twitch. It's essentially a fancy 3D version of Plinko using marbles. Each entry gets a marble. The first one to make it through the track is the winner. This game is catching on in popularity and Twitch Streamers like to use it during downtime. In addition, people who want to play the game are their own community, and they add to the viewership of streamers who host games.

What's the catch?

Well, it's not gambling. It's like the kid's version of the game of chance. The prizes are set up to avoid gambling regulation. Just think about what a product like this would be like on Steem.

Speculation

I can see it now: 100+ people here sign up for a game and pay 1 SBD per entry. The winner gets a 100 SBD prize, or however you want to structure the payout. I'm guessing 50%, 30%, 20% would be pretty popular for 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Logistics

The RNG of games could be linked to any proof of work coin (Bitcoin) to seed the simulation. This would create provably fair outcomes that anyone could independently verify using the open source code that the game was created with.

Can't be stopped.

It would be illegal to host a game like this in America for sure, but anyone can be a host and payments to the host can't really be stopped. The law against things like this are written such that it makes it illegal for the banks to process the transaction. What are they gonna do when there's no bank involved?

Using smart contracts (or even dumb contracts) we can eliminate the middle man entirely and operate a gambling game like this in a completely decentralized manner.

Conclusion

Blockchain is definitely going to take the power of creating lotteries away from the state and back to the people. Imagine being to fund projects by hosting Marbles games on Steem. People can gamble and support the projects they want to see come to life, all at the same time.

Fascinating idea. The blockchain has the potential to enslave or liberate the masses. Stay tuned 😮

Both. They aren't mutually exclusive.

That's really an interesting concept for a game on the blockchain.

It is the opposite of next colony and drug wars.
No waiting, pure thrill.
Moonsteem was like that, but too one dimensional.
This one should trip some triggers, for sure.

@edicted, Without any doubt games have potential to dominate any position and this is reflecting as Classic Game but still it have it's space and this kind of game is cool too.
