Yesterday the Suicune Raid Day took place, which added Shiny Suicune into the game for the first time. As with other Raids Day it was possible to receive up to 5 free Raid Passes during this day.

Our group for Raids has grown a lot lately, especially with a lot of people picking the game back up during the summer, so we had a lot of people interested in joining for the Raids. Which is why we already started making a list of all the people interested for the Raids a day beforehand. Then the managers of the group divided everyone amongst themselves. Originally they would have 3 groups, with at least one of them in each group to be in charge so they could see everyone would be able to join. However it turns out that we had a total of over 60 accounts registered for the Raids, so we'd have too many for 3 groups and had to make a 4th. That's when they decided that blauwetaank and I would be in charge of the 4th group, which I read in the groups chat like an hour before the event.

Once I arrived I saw some people already gathered close to blauwetaank, whom I know well as we often play Pokémon GO together. While on my way there I came across someone I know who asked if I was gonna do some Raids and if he could join. Cause another group we know were going to do like 30 Raids, but he didn't find that worth for Suicune so he only wanted to use the 5 free Raid Passes. Of course he was allowed to join so I took him with me.

When I arrived at the Houten Schip Gym, one member of our group was already trying to gather a few of the other people near blauwetaank, which I was glad for. As some of the people in my group I didn't really know well yet to recognise them based on their name. One of the people in our group was there yet when the event was starting, but he's a friend of blauwetaank so he asked him. He did show up when a bit later and was able to join another group, then joined us for the rest of the Raids.

To start the Raids, since we were with 4 groups, I made a Private Group for us, so that I could share the code to everyone and we could start without having to wait for another group to finish. This way I could also make sure everyone in my group is in the Raid and no one is accidentally left behind. After the Houten Schip Gym we went to the Werft and then to the PC Gyms. Once we did those we had to walk a bit further to go the one on the market place, and then the one in the shopping street. All of these went really smooth, everyone was always able to successfully join for these Raids as my group was always gathered in a circle so I could easily tell everyone at the same time what the code was.

The people who were interested in doing more Raids after those 5 then continued to the Gasthuismuseum Gym, where we would gather and divide the groups again depending on the remaining people. The majority of people in my group actually stayed, so we just went with this group again and taking in 3 extra people who arrived there. After that I continued for 2 more Raids. Some of the people at the last one did continue for more, but I went home after that. Blauwetaank was still going to continue on, so he could remain in charge to make sure everything went well.

At my 4th Raid, the one on the market place, I encountered a Shiny Suicune ! It's 89% IV with 15 Attack, 10 Defense and 15 HP. Which isn't too bad, it's nice that the Attack is at 15, although I'm quite unsure about how useful Suicune is, since I haven't powered any Suicune up yet. I'll have to look into that and make a decision based on it.

All the Suicune above 1600 CP here are the ones I caught during the Raid Day, the 1200 CP ones are from when it was available as a 7 Day reward bonus from the Field Research tasks. As you can see I managed to catch 7. At the 2nd Raid I was unable to catch the Suicune, despite throwing Great curveball throws all the time. Otherwise I would've had 8 Suicune caught during the event. My Best Suicune I caught is that 1694 CP one, which is a 93% with 15 Attack, 12 Defense and 15 HP. Slightly lower IV than my best Suicune that I already had, as I already had a 96%, but with 14 Attack though.

The event went really well and it was great to do this event with so many people! I was quite honoured that I was chosen together with blauwetaank to lead the 4th group, and it went really well. So I'm sure that we have shown the manager that we can do an excellent job at being in charge of a group too and maybe they'll put us in charge more often in the future.
