Yesterday I was playing a bit despite the heavy winds here. I did of course take caution and minded where I walked. Sometimes holding on a bit tighter to my phone when I felt stronger winds come up for a moment. Which did happen frequently. Overall it was still pretty fine except for those moments where a lot of wind was coming through. At one of the Pokéstops I spun I managed to find another Sinnoh Celebration: Use a Sinnoh Stone to evolve a Pokémon task, now I had two of this task. This task had not been showing up much around here from what I saw, so I was glad to have finally found a second one of it. As I prefer to have 2 or even 3 of these kind of tasks at the same time so I can complete them simultaneously. Although as you can see from my inventory I do have enough Sinnoh Stones so I'm definitely not lacking the evolution item.

It's mostly because I haven't evolved a lot of Pokémon yet with the Sinnoh Stone. I prefer catching Pokémon in the wild to first register them in my Pokédex over evolving them unless I have a really good one. Of course for these Pokémon that evolve with a Sinnoh Stone it's not possible to find them in the wild, as is the case with any Pokémon that evolves using an item. Since I lack a lot of really good IVs for many Pokémon that do evolve with a Sinnoh Stone I just haven't bothered evolving them yet. There are also some Pokémon that aren't that useful for Raids and Gym Battles, so I also don't want to evolve pretty high but not perfect IVs. Now I had to evolve one though, and I thought about Aipom for this. I was certain I had a Lucky Aipom already and figured that if I'd be evolving an Aipom with Sinnoh Stone I would best take the Lucky one, so I would have a Lucky Ambipom in the Pokédex. In the next picture you can see the evolution process for this Lucky Aipom into Ambipom and completing that Field Research task twice.

The IVs for this Aipom are really low as you can see I named it Aipom 76 because it has 76% IVs, that is a really low roll for a Lucky Pokémon. In the previous picture I lack a Pokédex registry screenshot for Ambipom, as I was unfortunately pressing the buttons on my phone a bit wrong so I didn't succeed in taking a screenshot in time. In the next picture you can see the Pokédex entry for Ambipom though so you can see that I indeed only have 1 Ambipom under caught from evolving it, and have it Lucky in the Pokédex.

If I can come across this Field Research task again today I will most likely evolve another Pokémon with a Sinnoh Stone that I don't have in my Pokédex yet to slowly start filling up my Sinnoh Pokédex.

Do you also sometimes hold off on evolving Pokémon with items or do you evolve them as fast as possible to complete your Pokédex?
