Did You Watch The Original Battlestar Galactica As A Child?

I did. Enjoyed it a lot. It was one of my favorite shows. But I can't say it has withstood the test of time very well. The CGI is completely outdated. The remake of the series was in may ways better. But I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the original series as a child.

Did you like the remake or the original better when they were first aired?

New version is exponentially better, due to better special effects (there weren't any CGI in 1978, at least not used for this film), but, more importantly, better, richer and more developed story and characters. The newer version is more adult and the older version is more family-friendly. The ending in both was somewhat disappointing, to say the least.
