FungiFriday - Easter eggs?

avatar

We don't have that tradition to hide Easter eggs around the garden for the kids to go look for them. But if we did I can imagine it would look a bit like this mushrooms hunt.

We found a spot full of them sprouting from between grasses. Before they open the hats they do look like a eggs covered in fur or feathers. About the same size as chicken eggs too.
After I saw those here... there was another one.. and another one little further away. Then when you know what you look for you see them everywhere!

My contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw

I hope many of you will join as there are only 2 simple rules:

  • when Friday comes post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, I will check and report stolen images!)
  • add #FungiFriday tag (it doesn't have to be your first tag)
    That's all :)

I call them a motley umbrella. This is a delicious mushroom, if cooked in batter.

I never had it. I am not used to pick all kinds of mushrooms.. just one or two types. I prefer not to touch the one I don't know :)

I know and recommend this mushroom. I collect many different mushrooms. Each is delicious in its own way.
