FRUITS AND VEGGIES MONDAY | When the going gets tough, the tougher gets stronger

With my plans of going home for a week and then after that going away for work in another city for 3 weeks, it seemed pointless to buy anymore vegetables from the local market. I can't bring it home with me and I'm sure I will not be able to finish it all by myself. Then again, I'm a sucker for fruits; and I have been seeing this lady riding her motorbike and parking her bike at the entrance of the market.

Locals who walk by will stop to look at what fresh fruits she has to sell. She has one push cart at the front of her motorbike and another smaller basket on the seat. Fruits sold include bananas, pomelos and oranges. All measured using a scale to confirm the price of fruits sold.

Due to limited display area, she opt to place the pomelos on the ground so passerby's can have a better view of the fruits available. May not be the most hygienic way to display, then again for pomelos, the skin is very thick and are removed to enjoy the flesh of the fruit.

Here's a close up view of the pomelos. I've never bought any from her before since I know I would never finish a whole pomelo by myself. Maybe I shall try to buy the bananas from her one day soon.

I'll definitely share more in my next post. Hope you enjoy my photo taken from my Huawei

Wow, she sure does have that motorbike loaded up with fruit! I guess you pretty much have to use the street to be able to spread it all out for people to see. :)

I think they are the biggest pamelos I ever seen. Truly amazing Ireen, I am wondering how they taste 🍈🌿🍈

It was just in the last year that I learned about pomelos; we saw them for sale at a local fruit market. I'd never knew such a fruit existed!
