Day-774-Freewrite Tuesday Circle 🐢

Yesterday we took Snickers for his yearly vaccination and check-up at Dr. Davis Vet Clinic and it looks like he's lost a little weight. As I was sitting in the waiting room I was watching this turtle circling his tank. Can you circle in a rectangular tank? She had this turtle for at least 8 years, as that's how long I've been with Debbie. As I was watching the turtle nibble at his floating biscuit, I was wondering how happy he was all alone in a two by three foot tank. Sure he could crawl up on his slate rock and bask in the warm light bulb, but I'm pretty sure he would rather be free to get busy with some sweet female turtle. Of course he could have issues that I don't know about, that would prevent him from being released. But I must admit that setting him free did cross my mind. Snickers is 15 years old now and may need some teeth cleaning, but Dr. Davis is worried about the anesthesia. So we'll make an appointment next year and blow another $500 on tests. Steem needs to make a turn around or I'm gonna have to go back to work.

Turtles don't care much for company. Normally they just try to find the best basking spot or hiding spot and that's about it. I am not sure if turtle's get lonely. During mating time they may try to find a mate, but if they don't find one, I don't think they reflect on their failures.

Why not cleaning teeth without the anesthesia? I dod it with many ferrets and they are not easy.
I can not cicle at all, circling and eating from a floating biscuit is not my kind of fun either.
