5 minute freewrite - cold person

Growing up, Tammy was a very quiet and reserved person, he never cried for any reason like the other kids, people thought he had no emotions and called him insensitive because he didn't show any kind of emotion towards anything but that wasn't it at all. Tammy felt hurt sometimes but he thought it was inappropriate to show it, to him, it was weakness so he got too good at hiding everything he felt. He was often called cold person

A lot of persons are like Tammy, they are emotionally strong, so strong that whatever happens they keep it to themselves. They find it difficult to freely express their feelings and thoughts,no matter how hard they try, they just cant maybe because they have gotten so used to it. Sometimes these persons are even too vulnerable, so they build that coldness as a kind of defense so they pretend they don't get hurt while the reverse is actually the case. They hate when people see them cry, angry and frustrated and try everything to conceal it. I don't know if these people can change but I think if I have any of them as a friend, I'll always try to make the first step and try to always understand them while urging them to open up, no one is actually a cold person, there's a reason behind every one's attitude or character and only time and the right person will make them lively.
