A Trip to A Forest in Norway

A while back in summer, I went with @munatic for a night camping at a place with an awesome viewpoint a short hike away from the carpark. I was meant to document this trip because I love to sleep outside and walk in nature, and this night was particually great as I had took some acid with me which I had for a long time but never got around to taking. Norwegian Forests are just excellent, at this time of the year there were still wild blueberry's that hadn't somehow got eaten up by wildlife..

I have a feeling that Norway would be a very good place to go travel with horses. I had this manifesting since many years and one summer I will go up to the north on horseback before Im too old. Crazy Plant ALERT! Check this thing out then, its like 3 plants mutated into one!

The Camping Place and Look out Tower..

The place we went to was originally a tower used to spot forest fires and also to communicate with other towers for whatever reason. The tower was quite impressive and the day was great to take some snaps. The only decent flat place to put a tent was on rock, and when there is no soil to hold tent pegs, then its best to use logs ir huge rocks to keep your tent up.

Whilst collecting logs, I found something to cook up!

Nah not really but I guess you could if you were hungry enough! The bark was peeling from the logs as I was flipping and rolling them over to where I needed them, and there were many grubs which found themselves suddenly as prey to the wildlife..

As I had the camera out, it was time to go up the tower and to take some photos, as tomorrow might not be so clear..

The evening rolled on slowly and soon it became dusk, the fire was lit..

And then it was time to try out these "Ganesh" 170ug!

What a beautiful forest, I would love to get to Norway one day. The amazing looking plant looks like meadowsweet to me but I could be wrong. I do hope there is a part 2 to this post as I want to know how your trip was xxx

Thanks for sharing. We might be coming to Norway next year. Gonna buy a car in UK and travel aimlessly.

!! Get a campervan instead cheap in Uk, like under 1000 usd and do it properly! Then we have a parking near us by beaches! Your bound to travel past the cabin if your driving from anywhere north or south 🤣

We were thinking of getting a van, but we're actually more tempted to just get a cheap peugot 407 or something for driving comfort - it'll only be a few months at most and we'll just resell it. We'll likely do cheap hostels rather than van camp, but I don't know, maybe. We are tossing everything up at the moment, including driving the landrover overland to UK. We know vanlife pretty well as you know so we are all good with throwing a mattress and a few bits of kit to be comfy in the back, we will see how we go. I dont want to spend a lot of time DIYing a van. At least if we get an estate I can still chuck a mattress in back and makeshift curtains if it comes to that.
