UEFA CL, December 9,2020

This qualifying round ended with eight games plus the suspended game between Paris Saint Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir. Group D had two games which were played at an early hour, Midtjylland 1-1 Liverpool and Ajax 0-1 Atalanta. I wanted to watch Ajax-Atalanta, but no they televised Paris Saint Germain-Istanbul, a game which had no significance, it shouldn't have even been played, PSG should have won by default. But actually it was not a bad game, Neymar did some very good fancy plays, scored three goals with Mbappe scoring the other two. The Istanbul goal was one of the most unusual goals goals I have seen, a double carom hitting an Istanbul player and the PSG's goalkeepers hand. PSG won 5-1 and go through as leaders of their group.

As for the other games Real Madrid made it through after beating Borussia Moenchengladbach, and Atletico de Madrid also got their pass after beating Salzburg. So it is over now for this round and now we have to wait to see who plays who in the next round which will be starting in February. The Draw will be held on Friday December 2021 , perhaps we will have stadiums ready with fans by that time.

The teams that made it through today are Bayern Munich and Atletico de Madrid, Real Madrid and Borussia Moenchengladbach, Manchester City and Porto and Liverpool and Atalanta. As you can see the usual big name teams are through again, I guess the one team that didn't make it is Inter, they didn't even qualify for Europa League.
