Market Friday, breaking tradition and doing it on Saturday.
I've been to this market a couple of times, only not this location.
This one is just about a mile from my new apartment. The other
One is closer to Cobb Pkwy and I-75 on Spring Street.
This is just to show the aisle markers
I was not really there to shop, just take photos, but I was in
NO WAY in the market for any fish, but they had 'em, live.
AND SCHWIMPS
And Mushrooms, (no magic ones though darn it)
I ended up buying some shitake
What does one do with an agave leaf?
There were things I had no idea you would eat, nor how you
Would do so
I bet them's some hot peppers, I've never heard of them
I'm learning the Santana song "Corazon Espinada" (thorny heart)
All sorts of colorful potatoes
Again, what does one do with a Mango leaf?
WHO KNEW there were this many kinds of Bok Choy?
I bought some juice from concentrate, this was too rich for me
I wouldn't know how to eat one.
and thus ends my "Market Friday"

So I used the #marketfriday tag on the wrong day, sue me! ha ha
I'm coming back finally! Ahh, meant to come over yesterday but spent the day with my mom and my niece unexpectedly. :) The little one takes top priority every time.
I have been to the one on Spring I believe. My sister used to live pretty close so I went with her to check it out. Great place to get some different stuff. I love perusing the produce section to see all the different stuff. I also remember going to Buford Highway farmers market when my other sister lived way over that way for an even bigger version of an international market. We are pretty lucky in Atlanta with a lot of variety in our shops!
IF you know what to do with them! hahahah

I think it’s funny they identified the live fish as “live.”
When you said you don’t know what it is. That’s celeriac, I was just introduced to it myself. You first have to cut the edges off and then clean your cutting station to remove all of the dirt. A bitter, salty taste, really good chopped up into about half the size of a sugar cube and thrown in a salad.
How’s it goin, Jerry? I’d like to familiarize myself with that market—it has all of the good stuff. The leaves... you could probably make a ‘boat’ I guess. I never considered eating either a mango or an agave leaf but I’m assuming they’re both super sweet, agave being sweetest?? But if I had access to that market, I’d know the answer by lunch time.
