Mango Curry!

It's mango season here and so mom decided to do the famous Mango curry special. It's a Mangalorean speciality and I just love it.

  • Peel the mangoes and squeeze the juice out and set aside along with the seed.
  • Now in a pan, fry pepper, coriander seeds, red chilly and mustard seeds.
  • Grind the roasted spices with garlic, ginger and onions. Add little water to make the mixture smooth.
  • Heat oil on a pan and fry curry leaves. Then add the mixture with a bit of turmeric. Stir till 10 minutes.
  • Now add the mango juice and seeds along with a cup of water, bit jaggery and salt.
  • Boil for 5-10 minutes thill it thickens. You can add tamarind or jaggery if required.
  • The Mangalorean special mango curry is ready to be served.
