Kok Sen Restaurant, located at Keong Saik Roada here in Singapore is rated the "Honest Zi Char Classics" place. Zi Char means stir-fry cooking...

For evening, they open at 5pm... and if you do not want to be disappointed, should go early and get a table.

Although it is called a "Restaurant", it is really a "Coffee Shop Zi Char" store. So do not expect restaurant setting or airconditioning.

I went there with a friend... and amongst the two of us, we can only order three dishes.

The highlight being the "Claypot Yong Dao Fu" dish as shown below :

This dish is highly recommended by me. I havent tasted other dishes yet, but I'm sure I'll be back to try all of them out.

The above is the sweet and sour pork rib. It was good, but I've also tasted better. So next time I visit Kok Sen, I'll skip this one in favour of maybe a beef dish.

The waitress keep insisting to push an egg dish on us... again it was ordinary, not much innovation you can do with eggs with some ingredients thrown in.
