WHERE DID YOU EAT LUNCH YESTERDAY?

For me and my girls, it was lakeside!

Well, stuff still hasn't hit the fan, which means that we still get time to learn and practice. Yesterday I took my two oldest daughters out fishing at the lake. Then, we enjoyed a nice fire-roasted lunch on the banks. Hopefully my young girls won't reach the point in their life where I simple catch, clean and cook like this is necessary... but if they do, at least they'll know how. Enjoy the photos for now, we hope to release a video soon enough.

Until next time…

Catch and cooking our own food is the most sublime thing in this world, your fish looks like very delicious, i have never cooked a fish directly in the fire, but maybe sound glorious, hope enjoying this fish directly from nature.
best regard papa

Beautiful, what a great experience for your children. Sunfish (aka bream) was the first fish I filleted and cooked myself as a child, and your post brings back precious memories.

Mmm, fresh fish. My lunch was at the base of our new climb after we had cleaned it of debris, bushes, and dirt. We watched the big hits from massive trout in the lake below us but did not try catching any.

Taco Bell....I wanted fish tacos.

Settled for a burrito.

Not flame broiled either.... Oh well.
