Pea soup update

(Edited)

G'day!

The peas have now visibly puffed up after having been in water overnight (some 12 hours or so), and it is now time to turn on the heat.

Recipe:

  • 500 g dried peas
  • 2 l water
  • a couple cloves of garlic
  • abt. 500 g of pork (either cooked or uncooked)
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp marjoram

Rinse the peas, put them in the kettle, add water. Let soak overnight.

Bring the soaked peas to boil, simmer for an hour.

Add sliced or chopped garlic (and meat if it's uncooked).

Let it simmer for another hour. Add water if needed.

When the soup is almost ready, add cooked meat, salt and marjoram.

I hope I have time to shoot the soup when it's done. I am likely not getting to eat it before going to the gym in two hours. Maybe when I get back.

Five hours passed since posting. Have you took photos and ate from the soup? Was it delicious? The recipe sounds simple enough. Maybe I will try it.

I only got home an hour and half ago. I photographed it before eating. I need to edit the photos next. 🙂

It was good, had seconds.
