Looking for More People to Follow

We know there is almost a directly proportional correlation between the number of posts on Steem and the price of the coin.

During the hype times and even months later, I could barely keep up with my feed from one day to the next, even if I didn't follow every account I stumbled upon (and surely less than I follow today).

Now it's quite the opposite: I often wish I had more posts on my feed from one day to the next to read or be informed.

But, as we know, many of the old(er) steemians have become inactive by now.

Long time ago there was a demand for tools to search and unfollow inactive steemians. And that demand was met, there were at least a few tools where you could do that. Today I couldn't find any of them working. The demand isn't there anymore though. Feeds aren't cluttered, so few are probably looking to unfollow more people.

Now the demand is the opposite, and I've seen it voiced on several cases: better ways to discover who to follow.

Luckily communities should be great for that. Tribes do help too, to some extent, although their feeds are often cluttered by non-specific content.

But right now, if I want to distribute more than a few full-weight upvotes (and I often do), my feed is rarely sufficient. Often I also go to two and sometimes three tribes per day to find things to upvote.

I also now use only my main account for voting, including for tribes, except for gaming or actifit content, which are on separate accounts, but trailing my main account if I vote something with a gaming tag. That generally makes my upvote more valuable than the weight I select for STEEM.

But still... I wish I had a more populated feed sometimes. It would make the life easier when my VP approaches 100% and I don't have much time.

To follow... is easy. To follow people who would bring value to your feed and are considerate with your time as well, not as much.

I like to know about Steem, mostly. I often enjoy science and tech topics. Occasionally I like reading/scanning through some lifestyle, travel, health, photos or hobbies posts, but for that I'd rather go to them (tribe, community) than bring them to my feed, in most cases.

EDIT: Oops, I almost forgot about investment stuff, such as content normally suitable for SteemLeo.

If you have any suggestions, bring them on! Thank you!

I am struggling with this myself. Almost everything on my feed is Steem this and Steem that. Into crypto to a certain extent, but not that much. I buy and hold, period. Not into watching or reading all the news, reports and stuff. Was when I first started, but I have come to the conclusion it is all guesswork anyway.

@doifeellucky is a great follow for Infosec tech stuff I have recently discovered.

Thanks for your recommendation! I'll have a better look at it, at first glance he(?) resteems a little too often for my taste. But there are ways around that if I like his content.
