2,210 Reps From 7 Steemians After 6 Days - Join The Steem Daily 100 Rep Fitness Challenge Of 50 Push-ups & 50 Air Squats! - Day 7

(Edited)

This challenge continues to grow with 2,210 reps done by 7 Steemians. Markets are breaking down, but we're building.

To people new, see the intro link below. We'll be opening up to other exercise types in due time. I'm trying to keep this simple for now to get everyone assembled and on the same page.

What's the challenge? 50 push-ups (modified if needed) and 50 air squats. See my video. If you want to do a different ratio or split, that's fine. Just reach 100 reps from these options and reply below with an affirmation, pic, link, or video. We're on the honor system.

If you can't do all of the push-ups, I know you can do squats for the rest. Get involved!

Highlights:

  • @khufu did more partial reps today, nearing the 50/50 mark. He'll be producing his first complete entry very soon.
  • I finished in 3:50!

My Reps Today:

I was barely sore at all today and did all 50 squats in one set for the second time. My push-ups still need improvement after I reach 30, but I can feel progress every day. One more week and I'll be flying through these.

Besides my first day where I was completely fresh and might not have gone deep enough on my push-ups, I dropped a good amount yet again down to 3:50. Maybe it was my camouflage shirt. I know I can get 3:30 soon.

Tonight's food was filet mignon, a teaspoon of raw honey, and a teaspoon of organic peanut butter. Lean and mean.

I also did 33 bicep curls with a 75 pound EZ curl bar (reps not counted).

Net Participation: 7 Steemians from 7 countries for 2,210 reps!

Day 1:

Day 2:

Day 3

Day 4:

Day 5:

Day 6:

I'm nominating @ninjamike again from the USA. You got this!

-> *Please see this link from the kickoff post for details.

Everyone please support and encourage the team here. They're working hard to build a community the hard way. It's about the bigger picture.

Make sure you go 90 degrees with your elbows and legs, with your back straight, on each rep. Feel free to help others if they look like that can use some advice.

Again, this is just a baseline of activity for the day. This will be far from all I do on most days, and the same can go for you.

Markets and spirits may be down now, but our health should always be on the rise.

We don't always need an app and tokens for everything, or to worry about things we can't control.

Worry about what we can control. Let's put the human back into fitness here and you will see and feel the results.

Rep on,
@steemmatt

P.S. - Please use the fitnesschallenge tag if you can.

This is a one-way street. Only better, healthier and stronger from here. Well done.

Hah, I celebrate under 4:00 and you casually say "1:50, no big deal." You probably also spent 20 seconds chasing your son who was trying to play with the camera again.

Ahhh! That's good advice. Thank you. As much as turning the palms might be improper form, I kind of do like that it hits my shoulders too. I'll try to work on this.

Great initiative my friend! I'll try to work this in along with my projects. I really need to drop the lbs so I can get more work done. I wanted yo ask if you're free one Saturday. I'd love to bring you on my podcast to chat 1-3pm EST. I just saved a bunch of stuff from the landfill and gained some great building materials from helping a buddy clean out his garage. Check er out!

I appreciate the offer. I'm terribly shy on voice/video and also might be at the beach then. I'd be open to a pre-recorded thing to try to break the ice, but it's a big mental block for me for some reason -- even though I was in sales and client-facing for many years... there's something about social media that keeps me in a shell. Not ruling it out, just hard for me to try.

No worries brother, I would definitely do a pre recorded show with you sometime. It's no big deal just like talking to a buddy over a brew. Yeah I'd love to set up a time to do an interview. If you have a good day just holler at me. Do you use discord?
