Hello, hello, hi, hello.

I just finished a 4.21km run that lasted about 0hh:26mm:39ss !

Hey everyone!

I'll be super quick, the last few weeks have been absolutely hectic with new jobbage, the family coming to stay last week and hardcore kitchen renovations, but we're starting to come out the other side of the chaos... family has gone, and kitchen should maybe be done this week.

I had a really weird thing last week... I did a ton of mowing on Saturday, which used all my legs, and then went for a run Monday morning, but in my minimalist shoes instead of my normal trail running shoes, and my calves were sore for honestly 5 days... like really sore. The last time they were that bad was after I did a 21km Tough Mudder course. I have no idea if it was the mowing or the shoes... the actual run itself felt fine.

My elbow was completely painfree during my week with the family... and then it super hurt on my first exercises back... and has been hurting for days now. It's so weird, especially since those exercises were chosen specifically because they didn't hurt my elbow. Can't decide whether the moral of the story is to never train, or never rest.

You have uploaded 61 running activities, and 58 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 58 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 222.31 kms at an average pace of roughly 6:50 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 6:19min/km!
Looks like you went a bit faster than usual this time! Nice work!

Hi!

Ugh! It's the worst!
Okay, it's not the worst, but it's not the best.
We're so close to having it finished, but the builder is playing funny buggers. Instead of paying for a tiler to install a proper backsplash, they paid a dude to do a tiny strip of backsplash and then told us anything bigger was out of scope. It looked crazy so we insisted, which means they wouldn't re-install our appliances... so we've gotten a plumber to re-install the dishwasher, but this guy said that our pipes are 'dangerous' and is insisting we either pay $1000 to temporarily fix things up, or $10,000 to replace all our plumbing. This isn't a huge surprise, the original inspection 2 years ago suggested that the plumbing needed re-doing but we've been putting it off because we would like to actually knock this house down and build in a couple of years. So, we were hoping to do the final kitchen inspection tomorrow, but I'm not sure if that's possible now.

Holy crap. That sounds crazy, and very hectic haha. If you're planning on knocking it down, why are you redoing stuff now?

Ha, not quite as hectic as trying to fit two teenagers and an old guy in our half-house for a week... so much fighting...

We're only redoing stuff because we had a flood in Jan. This is just the insurance fix.

Aah, got it. That sounds like a blast! Haha. Too bad that money can't go to your new place

I thought you had a ride on mower or a tractor or something less calorie consuming?

Ah, that was actually just a one time borrowage from our next-door neighbour. It was super fun, but crazy loud and while borrowing it again is entirely possible it means I have to talk to a person and be scared of breaking it or breaking all our fences. I think basically she offers it when she gets sick of me disturbing her peace for 16 hours at a time.
