The Catalyst for the Crash?

(Edited)

I can't predict the future any more than anyone else can, so I'm only guessing that this is going to be the match that sparks the next stock market crash and sets the Bitcoin bull raging.

The below video is a "tough questions, rapid fire" interview with the same forensic accountant who brought down Madoff.

To believe his research means to know S&P 500 stalwart General Electric (GE) is about to go bankrupt within the next 6-9 months.

If you watch the mainstream media, it will seem like no big deal. The current CEO bought a couple million of the company stock last week, and the market bought it. Why? Because no one really wants the music to stop.

But stop it will.

Who will be left without a chair?

Not we Bitcoin hodlers.

The "Pros" React

Word on the street seems to be that this is much ado about nothing. See:

General Electric’s (GE) Biggest Bull Is Unfazed

and...

Investors Should Buy General Electric Stock on Its Latest Decline

We'll see which prediction turns out to be true. What's your bet?

I have always had doubts about GE as they have always seemed highly inefficient as a conglomerate and despite their balance sheet issues, they survive the housing crisis years ago. While I don’t think there is out right fraud, I sure bet that there are some questionable accounting practices there!

Yeah, also seems that there are a bunch of shareholder lawsuits making similar allegations about cooked books.

We’re well positioned having some crypto for sure. But once things start unwinding it takes time to make its way into daily life. I think we’ll be okay. I worry more about people retiring in the next 2 years who are reliant purely on 401k savings and social security.

@indigoocean, great 15 minute video. Harry Markopolos, had all the answers and answered every question with complete certainty. This whole thing will be very interesting as it all plays out. GE's long care insurance sector is a total mess. For every one dollar they collect, they are paying out over $5.00 in benefits. How long can that go on. Cooked books for sure.

Exactly. The msm is falling over themselves to explain it away, but there’s no explaining away math.

Hi @indigoocean

Personally I would expect that next big crash will start in China. Their economy is currently a joke.
