The Other Lamb (2020) – Movie Trailer

The trailer for the movie The Other Lamb reminds me very much to the film The Village, from the director M. Night Shyamalan, mixed with The Handmaid's Tale… Very nice reviews are coming from some of the most popular film critics media, comparing this movie with some of the classics of the horror genre… Also, this is one of the few movies by Polish director Malgorzata Szumowska, who has been known as a very prised and awarded in her job. The movie premiere is scheduled for the less of the month, in early April.

The story follows a teenage girl Selah, who was born in the all-female cult led by a man… All women in the cult are, or his wives, or daughters, but as Selah getting into her puberty she reveals that some of the daughters become wives as time passes… Also, she starts to doubt in her faith, and additionally, she has very disturbing bloody visions… She begins to question where do older women disappear, as the majority of them are young…

The director of the movie is Malgorzata Szumowska, a well-known director, producer and writer by the movies like In the Name of (2013), Body (2015) or Mug (2018). The writer of the movie is C.S. McMullen, known by her works on TV Series like Nowhere Boys (2013-2017), Two Sentence Horror Stories (2019), or Glitch (2015).

In the main roles are Raffey Cassidy (Tomorrowland (2015), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)), Michiel Huisman (The Age of Adaline (2015), TV Series Harley and the Davidsons (2016), Game of Thrones (2014-2016)), Denise Gough (Video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015), '71 (2014), Robin Hood (2010)), Eve Connolly (TV Series Into the Badlands (2017), Vikings (2018-2020), Muse (2017)), Isabelle Connolly (TV Series Krypton (2019), Vikings (2020)) and others.
