Greyhound (2020) – Movie Trailer

We do see Tom Hanks in a lot of great movies, but usually, we see him in the acting role, which is a case with this movie also. But, he is also responsible as the screenplay writer for the movie Greyhound. He has done a few episodes for TV Series Electric City and From the Earth to the Moon, but this is his third full-length movie and the last one was 9 years ago and didn’t pass very well with the critics (Larry Crowne (2011)). Anyways, the movie Greyhound comes under the hood of Sony Pictures Entertainment and the premiere is scheduled for June 12. Actually, the movie was filmed back in 2018, but it was re-scheduled more times because of the release of the other movie starring Tom Hanks, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019).

The story of the movie is inspired by actual events and it is situated in the year 1942, during World War II. It follows Captain Ernest Krause, who was in command of U.S. destroyer, who was trying to keep safe an international convoy of 37 ships from the Nazi U-boats…

The director of the movie is Academy Award winner Aaron Schneider, a well-known cinematographer and director, by movies Two Soldiers (2003), Get Low (2009) or Into the Storm (2014). The screenplay is written by Oscar winner Tom Hanks, who doesn't need a special introduction. This is his third movie as a writer, after That Thing You Do! (1996) and Larry Crowne (2011), and he wrote the screenplay by the novel The Good Shepherd of C.S. Forester.

In the main roles are double Academy Award winner Tom Hanks (Cast Away (2000), Big (1988), Forrest Gump (1994)), Academy Award nominee Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas (1995), Adventures in Babysitting (1987), The Saint (1997)), Stephen Graham (This Is England (2006), Snatch (2000), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Magnificent Seven (2016), Murder on the Orient Express (2017), Widows (2018)), Karl Glusman (Love (2015), The Neon Demon (2016), Nocturnal Animals (2016)), and many others.
