Roger Avary Has a New Film - Lucky Day (2019)

Some of you may remember Avary as involved with Pulp Fiction. Some may dig him from his 2002 film Rules of Attraction (https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0292644/) or from his 1993 film Killing Zoe.

Rules of Attraction struck me pretty hard when I first saw it. Another one I remember seeing in theaters.
Not an easy film to watch in regards to a happy or light story or theme, and yet it is so well made, so interesting, with such great visual storytelling sequences.

His new film looks high energy, fun, surreal, action packed, funny. He wrote it at least in part while he was in prison. He would put his pages into sealed envelopes with stamps and send them to his daughter (this was to assure his writing would not be confiscated, as mail/letters are protected legally in prison apparently).

If nothing else, long live Crispin Glover!
I'm curious to see how it is.

Be well.
