Long Live the Arri Fresnel

There's just something about this light. Years of history.
The fresnel lens was invented by Augustin-Jean Fresnel in the early 1800's. They were originally used for lighthouses. The rippled lens focuses and projects the light over further distances.

Arri started using the technology in its film and production lights in the 1930's. They became a powerhouse tool, a go to, a classic.

Every time I strike one on, to this day, it still feels good.
