Lightening Round ~ Elixir

Today's word of the day for January 10 is elixir.

This is what I came up with.

The house stood on a small hill, north of the small village. It was the only house still standing on that part. The locals had moved away a long time ago. They inhabited the other areas now.

It was almost midnight. The moon was finally full. It was eerily quiet. Smoke can be seen, coming from the small chimney at the back of the house. Inside, a large pot sat on a burning fire.

The witch smiled as she stirred the content of the pot. It was time. The elixir was ready. One drop and they would sleep forever.
