Lightening Round ~ Bon Vivant

Today's word of the day for December 2 is bon vivant.

Perfect, wouldn't you say?

Here's mine.

It was dark and moonless. She stood at the balcony, staring unseeing into the night. The was fear in her eyes, not from the night, but from what lies ahead. Tomorrow was the D-day.

Inside the mansion, the ballroom was alive with lights and people. She never knew a room that large existed. Not until her engagement last week.

Below the mansion, in the wine cellar, the bon vivant measured and tasted. He had but one job. But as he sampled the groom's wine, he completed one other job. The wine bubbled then settled as the poison disappeared inside.
