RE: IICSA's final report following the inquiry into Children in the Care of Nottinghamshire Councils

It's really quite pitiful, isn't it?
Similar things happened in Leicestershire, many things were common knowledge when I started working here in the late 1980s and yet, no action was taken. The acceptance of widespread abuse was as appalling as the abuse itself.

Absolutely is and I know just what you mean when you speak about how this was common knowledge. The way the managers spoke about the children being abused was so disturbing. They were all very aware and just didn't care at all. Very sad state of affairs and I hope one day it will cease to exist like it does today. Thanks for commenting @shanibeer and hope you are well :)

You mentioned Lambeth - when does the enquiry report on that? I worked for children's homes in Lambeth, before coming up here, I used to help recruit staff. I was aware of a lot of corruption, but not of abuse.

I'm well, thanks, and busy. Hope all is well with you and you're enjoying your new home :).

there are 3 preliminary hearing in July but I'd have to check the timetable for the Public hearings.
All settled into our new home now and we are off to the lake district today! :) Should have some nice pics when I get back.
