I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people and to his saints.

Many are the voices of the earth, to which we human children listen, and which move our souls here and there. Here is the Christ or there he is, that is what we hear from all sides, especially in our days. Which means; in this is your salvation, in it your salvation! And in this way many a human heart becomes restless and hurled like the waves of the sea. Ah how many votes do we always obey! And we remain deaf to the voice of him who makes himself heard above all that hum. salvation lies before us in speaking God to man. And we are advised to listen to him who, whether he admonishes and punishes or comforts and encourages, always brings peace to the listening soul. So often we start the day with all sorts of plans: I will finish this work, accept that journey, hear this preacher of new wisdom, implement that plan, we try today to follow the divine counsel that the psalmist brings us. Let it be a confirmed intention in our present to hear what the here will speak to us. As soon as He can speak more in us, the sign of heaven, called peace, comes down on us.

Yes, our soul watches and waits,

your father's hand will control us.

And our faith will triumph

through your power over need and death
