Beer tasting and Pizza in my food Window and a Sunday gym session.

This morning I must have been the person with the smallest eyes in the gym today.

Yesterday we had a beer tasting event in the city where I live and it was as awesome as ever.

For a fixed amount you get to 'taste' (drink) as much beer as you want for a 3 hour period.

There were about 20 brewers there and when they look as pro as this dude you know you are in for a good time.

This guy just came back from the World Beer Awards where he won the gold medal in the Double IPA NL category with his Kompaan - Handlanger beer.

We all had taste and it was great.

We therefore also tasted his Rum barrel-aged beer, his vig infused beer and the Imperial Stout he brought.

And that was just one stand.

About 30 tastings later we rolled out of the place to my house where (after some coupon stacking, second pizza for free) we ordered 4 family-sized pizzas from Domino's.

The biggest pizza you can get from a Domino here is the family-sized (15,7 inch) which is probably medium in the US.

I'm also not sure why they call them Family sized because clearly you need 4 of them to feed 4 guys.

Then it was time for some gaming and a movie before everyone called it quits around 10:30 pm.

I rolled into bed not much later.

I woke up slightly rough but not as bad as I used to get on an event like this.

A lot of it has to do with the starting times of events which as you get older (after 30) are closer to 12 pm (midday), while when I was a teenager it all used to start closer to 12am (midnight).

I prefer to start earlier now.

I recovered in the morning pretty fast and made my way to the gym.

I had a decent workout, and burned around 750 calories on various machines.

And I'm now waiting for my food window to open.

I'm back on intermittent fasting for 2 weeks and it's doing wonders already.

Lost around 2kg and I am close to being below 120kg for the first time in years.

Intermittent fasting is great.

Don't eat for 16 hours and eat for 8.

There is room for pizza with it (although not every day) and drinks too (not everyday).

Most of the time I eat pretty healthily and I never feel I have to starve myself.

When I eat, I eat a good/propper meal.

And I much prefer not to eat at all then eat small meals throughout the day.

It's good to be back on the wagon.

<120kg here I come.

Looks like an awesome day was had, I love the sound of those beers. Run barrell ones are my favourite, so smooth! Well done for getting to the gym!

I never had Rum barrel-aged before but it smooth indeed! A little smoother than whiskey BA even.

Yeah, it's silky smooth. I love them, especially when they have a bit of oomph!

That looks like a really cool event. I have been to things like that before, but they usually give you tickets so it kind of limits you to how much or how many you are able to have. Sometimes it can be a bad thing to mix so many different types of beers. That is pretty funny about the family size pizza over there being a medium over here!
