Lunchtime run: Chilly

I just finished a 6.697km running that lasted about 0hh:38mm:42ss !

After all last week's exertions I am feeling it a bit, but will try and get back into my regular running routine. Today I was going for 30-20-10 intervals. I tried setting this up in the Garmin app. That did work, but I managed to set one recovery period too long. I have since corrected that. I get audio cues through my phone, but they just tell me what I just did rather than what is coming up. I need to see if that can be changed to something more useful. I am still figuring it out.

It was noticeably colder when I left home this morning and had not warmed up much by lunchtime, although the sun was out to give a little warmth at times. I did my usual loop to visit the ducks and geese at the lakes, but did not visit the outdoor gym as I had not finished all the intervals at that point.

There were quite a few runners out and the changing rooms were busy. Maybe the sunshine brought them out. I was not breaking any records, but the graphs show distinctly where I changed pace. I can see my heart rate came down on the recovery stretches. It will be interesting to see if my heart health improves over time.

We finally got a touch of sunshine last night as well. It was the first we have seen it in a while. Still a bit too cold to be exercising outside. My body has just been aching lately and those 4 am mornings are harder and harder to get out of bed. I am hoping I can sleep in a little this weekend and maybe instead of doing nothing fit in a little resistance band training.
