Hello lovers of the seventh art: cinema. I will start a cycle or series of post with film artists who have won the famous golden statuette the ÓSCAR. It is the highest award that not only rewards the artist, but all those who have to see and participate in this world. They are recognized for many aspects.

I'll start with one of my favorites:

Grace Patricia Majer Kelly, better known as "Grace Kelly". I will try in this post to give a biography of her life in film.

Grace Kelly started in film in 1948, with small roles, during her film career she made 11 films.

She made her cinema debut in 1951 with the film: "Fourteen Hours", is a dramatic film, directed by Henry Hathaway was nominated for an Oscar for the best artistic direction, which did not win, but this actress already smelled like the Oscar.

She didn't have a starring role, but her name was in the cast, and that was important to her.

Starring: Paul Douglas, Richard Basehart, Barbara Bel Geddes, Debra Paget, Agnes Moorehead, Robert Keith. Howard Da Silva, Jeffrey Hunter, Martin Gabel, "Grace Kelly", Frank Faylen, Jeff Corey, James Millican, Donald Randolph.

In 1952, he received an offer to act in Fred Zinnemann's film, "Only in the face of danger", with Gary Cooper, Katy Jurado, Lloyd Bridges and Thomas Mitchell.Based on a wéstern or one of cowboys as I tell you.

The film won four Oscar Awards of 7 nominations, four Golden Globe Awards of 8 nominations. Grace Kelly even though she didn't win an Oscar, but she was already making a name for herself and was still smelling that statuette.

Film director John Ford attended the preview of the film "Solo ante el peligro" he was delighted with Grace Kelly's performance, which he thought of for his next film, in 1953 "Mogambo", starring Clark Gable and Ava Gardner.

With this film I win her first "Golden Globe" to the best secondary actress, which is like the second most important award in cinema after the Oscar. But she also won her first nomination for an Academy Award "Oscar" and her name was becoming known.

In 1954, she made 4 films with several directors who wanted her for their films. She was Alfred Hitchcock's favorite muse, with him she made 3 of her 11 films. 2 in 1954 and 1 in 1955.

In 1954, he starred in the film " The Country Girl", with: Bing Crosby and William Holden film written and directed by George Seaton.

The film received two Oscars: Best Adapted Screenplay: George Seaton and Best Actress Grace Kelly, if she finally won her award.

This film also earned her another Golden Globe for Best Dramatic Actress, she already had two awards from the latter.

In 1955 it was released "Catch a Thief", starring Grace Kelly and Cary Grant, the director the suspense king Alfred Hitchcock, one of my favorites, because I like suspense movies. Mystery, terror.

This film was made in the Principality of Monaco, where she fell in love with the beauty of that place, which she was going to imagine would later become Princess of Monaco.
"The Inquisitive Window", a 1954 film also directed by Alfred Hitchcock, the main characters were: James Stewart, his favorite muse "Grace Kelly", Wendell Corey, Raymond Burr and Thelma Ritter. It's also one of my favorites, it's a movie that from beginning to end keeps you glued to the screen, the times I've seen them have been on the small screen television, are movies not very common, but worth seeing.

Grace Kelly had a very short, but very nice film career, she won an Oscar, unlike other actors who have spent many years and have not earned the golden statuette.

If it hadn't been for love, perhaps her time in the cinema, she would have gone further, more films, more awards and more Oscars.

Here are the names of the films she made:

Fourteen hours.
Only in the face of danger.
Mogambo.
Perfect crime.
The indiscreet window.
The bridges of Toko-Ri.
Green fire.
The anguish of living.
The swan.
Catches a thief.
High society.

Thank you Grace Kelly for your movies, from movie princess to royal princess, well deserved your Oscar.
