Which one carries more health benefits Peeled or Unpeeled Almonds?

I like to eat almonds but can’t take it on a daily basis due to high cost price. They are not only delicious, but also carry several health benefits. The study conducted all over the world revealed these facts. Even Ayurveda also said that if people intake almonds after peeling off the skin, they will get various health benefits.  Ayurvedic treatment was very popular in ancient time in India. Though, in present time people mostly take modern medicine, ayurveda treatment is still available there. You don’t know India has a number of governments’ Ayuveda Hospitals where several patients go and consult with doctor regularly. 

As per ayurveda recommendation, people should intake sweet almonds because it is capable to calm the Vata doshas and improve pitta doshas in the body.   • According to ayurveda, you should buy raw almonds which contain all the healthy nutrients that are essential for the body. Then you need to soak the raw almonds and peel off the skin before they are consumed, because their skin is hard to digest. If you consume raw almonds without soaking, they can not only upset your stomach, but also increase Pitta in your blood.
  • Either you can consume it by mixing with raisins and dates or take it as a whole. I consumed it in both ways. It is really tasty. 
  • Experts recommend eating only 10 almonds in a day. But I would have consumed more than 10 almonds several times and I don’t even remember whether it had my stomach upset. But expert’s suggestions are valuable and you must follow their tips. Don’t take almonds, if your stomach is completely empty. Otherwise, it may increase pitta doshas and cause indigestion. However, you can consume almonds with some fruits or vegetables. Not only that, you can enjoy the taste of almonds with puddings, bread and muffins too. 

Why should you consume soaked and peeled almonds?

  • Tannin, a brownish bitter-tasting organic substance present in peel of almond, creates problem in absorbing nutrients. That’s why experts recommend soaking the almonds. It will help you remove the skin easily. 
  • There are several health benefits of consuming soaked almonds. They offer antioxidants and improve your digestion and heart health. Weight gain or obese is a big problem in present time. So if you want to lose your weight, you can take almonds. One of the most important things is that almonds provide flavonoids that are capable to prevent the growth of tumor and cancer cells in the body. So, people should consume almonds to avoid this dangerous disease.
