This evening I started out with a photo I had if a "Purple Heart Plant", that was blooming.
I cleaned that up a bit, then decided to put a few spins on it.

At this point I was becoming pretty pleased so I said to myself that it would be a little nicer with a small amount of water in the center so I went ahead and edited that in.

After that, added the birds, and just softening, lighting, then at the last minute saw that the globe effect would put in the finishing touch, and went with it. That's about it!

I tell people all the time I start out with "normal" photos, and just play with them till "I" see something, then following it!
