An orange Cat sits at the same spot at the same time everyday, แมวมานั่งที่เดิมเวลาเดิมทุกวัน

Lately I have noticed a thin orange cat sitting at the step in front of Robinson shopping mall around five to six o’clock in the evening. What struck me was very sad expression and weepy eyes including how quiet and humble he looked. His face was drooping down with a beaten resignation about the situation in his life. He just seemed like a human being sitting there feeling very desperate and having no drive for living. That was a very disturbing encounter for me; I never thought a cat could express so much emotion.

But I could see that he had a collar around his neck so he should have an owner. I wondered why he looked so skinny, sad and dirty. I had nothing edible to give him so I stayed to talk to him for a while. This cat attracted more onlookers but no one had any food for the poor cat. The orange cat was very friendly, he would go up to greet anyone who came up to talk to him.

Luckily, two ladies approached us so I told them that the cat looked very hungry and I had nothing to give him. The younger lady slowly took a bag of fried fish she bought for her dinner and gave a small piece to the orange cat. The cat was so happy and he ate all the pieces of fried fish heartily. I was very touched by this little lady’s kindness. They stayed to keep the cat company so I could slowly walked away. But I intended to visit this orange cat again soon.

เมื่อเดือนก่อนเราไปเจอแมวส้มผอมมากตัวหนึ่ง มันไม่มีทีท่ากลัวคนเลย มันมานั่งรอใครสักคนที่บันไดหน้าห้างโรบินสัน เราดูหน้ามันแล้ว มีแต่ความเศร้าและหมดกำลังใจในการมีชีวิตอยู่ มันเหมือนแมวที่ถูกทิ้งและ มีแต่ความเหงาปนเศร้าในโชคร้ายของชีวิตนี้ หน้าก็ตกคอก็ตก เหมือนคนหมดความหวัง เราจึงต้องเข้าไปคุยกับแมวตัวนี้ แต่เราก็เห็นปลอกคอแสดงว่าต้องมีเจ้าของ หรือว่ามันถูกเอามาปล่อยทิ้งที่นี่ แมวจึงมานั่งรอเจ้านายของมันที่ตรงนี้ทุกวันในเวลาเดิม เราถามคนแถวนั้น เขาก็บอกว่าแมวตัวนี้จะมานั่งที่นี่ทุกวัน

แมวตัวนี้ผอมมากและตัวก็สกปรก เหมือนไม่มีเจ้าของคอยลูบตัวแปรงขนให้เลย แต่มันเรียบร้อยมากและมีความถ่อมตัว มันจะเข้าหาทุกคนที่มาคุยกับมัน เราไม่มีอาหารให้แมววันนั้น โชคดีมีคนเข้ามาคุยกับแมวหลายคน มีคนใจดียอมสละปลาทอดที่ซื้อมา แบ่งให้แมวกินและยังฉีกปลาเป็นชิ้นเล็กๆให้แมวด้วย เราถามคนที่ขายของแถวนั้นว่ามีคนเลี้ยงอาหารแมวส้มไหม เขาก็บอกว่ามีคนเลี้ยงแมวตอนกลางคืน และมันจะมานั่งตรงนี้ทุกวันในเวลาเดิม เราก็ค่อยโล่งใจ แต่แมวตัวนี้มีอาการเหมือนแมวอกหักหรือโดนทิ้งให้อยู่เพียงลำพัง เราก็บอกแมวว่าเราจะหาเวลามาคุยด้วยอีก

I did go back to find this orange cat a few times. I bought him some grilled pork but he didn’t like it at all. The vendor nearby told me that he used to eat processed cat food. So, I will have to get some cat food for him. I think his eyes’ expression got more lively after several people showed him love and attention. Cats are very sensitive feeling beings who never stop to amaze me of its depth of emotion!
