MIT Director Resigns for Hiding Epstein Funding, Saudi Arabia To Begin Making Weapons Locally

More cover-ups have come to light regarding disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. This time it's not about his alleged suicide or murder, but for financing the illustrious MIT Media Lab.

MIT Media Lab director Joichi Ito has succumbed to pressure to resign over his taking of Epstein's money, and hiding it. He took more money from oEpstein than he previously reported. This came to light in New Yorker and New York Times reports from a Media Lab whistleblower.

Ito also covered up his and the labs ties to Epstein, presumably to prevent it from being associated with a sex offender. Epstein was listed as a "disqualified" donor by MIT, but that didn't stop Ito from taking his money.

It goes to show that money doesn't need to be clean for the "clean" institutions to take it. Dirty pedo money is just as good as any other money, until the media finds out about it. Then you lose your job.

In other news on the global front, controversial Saudi arms deals may be a thing of the past as they seek to domesticate their weapons supply through local weapons manufacturing.

As one of the top arms importers, Saudi Arabia has announced plans to license companies to build weapons inside their borders. This will cut into the Western economies, like the US, Britain and France who have supplied arms to the Saudis.

The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), will license companies to manufacture firearms, ammunition, military explosives, military equipment, individual military equipment and military electronics.

This move is part of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman’s plan to "diversify" the economy. Because apart from oil, weapons are a huge industry. They would know as they see how well the U.S. does as the #1 weapons seller in the world.

This is expected to lead to the production of 1/2 the weapons and equipment locally, with 40,000 jobs by 2030. Saudi Arabia may not matmch the U.S.' manufacturing as a military industries supplier, but they are already at the top of the "highest military spending as a percentage of GDP".

That translates into $110 billion in purchases from the U.S. in the coming years, and 100,000 jobs for Americans. With their own manufacturing of their war machine, the U.S. politicians will surely not like, especially Trump, as the economy will take a hit.

Ito will probably still end up working for MIT as a contractor or something, or he will end up working for a private company still making millions.
