Tesla and SpaceX parts manufacturer, Visser experienced a data breach

A company that specialzes in manufacturing parts for Tesla and SpaceX has confirmed that there has been an intruion by outside parties in their database.

The Colorado based manufacturer confirmed the recent incident they they claim that it hasn't affected the smooth running of the business.

The cyber attack was said to have been caused by a ransomware known as DoppelPaymer, which encrypts and exfiltrate any infected system data.

The ransomware then issues threat of disclosing the stolen data if a specified ransom is not paid.

This attack is similar to another on that was made on Allied Universal in December which led to the publications of sensitive employee data of the company after they declined to pay the $2 million plus ransom.
